Arnold – Plugs

Last Tuesday in our class with Conann we had to recreate this image that features little plug like devices that will need to be modelled in Maya and then lit and rendered with Arnold. I was completely unsuccessful at carrying out this task I have been using nothing but After effects or Houdini and haven’t had a chance to enter the depths of Maya in a long time.

I feel brain dead every time I open up Maya and I just can’t keep up with conann or the rest of the class for that matter. At the end of the class I have learned nothing and I am missing out on the valuable Arnold lessons because I cannot model the object that we are going to light and render.
