Storm – A Survival Experience for Oculus Rift

Storm is amazing at showing how a simple idea can be just as powerful as a complex one. The idea of this virtual reality game experience is to highlight survival and challenges the player to navigate their way through a storm in order to find shelter and wait out the storm.

We had an idea that focused on the stillness of a user in order to interact with an experience but what if we could make a game or experience that challenged the user to apply being still. For example a tight rope simulation or something that involves hiding from something it seems to be that stillness and survival come hand in hand.

There is also a puzzle solving element to this game which relates back to our idea of wanting to create an environment that would have sprites or POI (points of interest) for the player to navigate with.
