Interactive Video Projection Mapping on Sculptures – Christopher Jobson

‘Welcome into the future’ Sober Industries x Studio Rewind

In this project these individuals have taken a series of sculptures and projected on to them. What I like about this is an aspect of art that is hand made such as a sculpture is often restricted with what can change once it has been made.

The interesting part is when projection mapping is integrated on to a sculpture like this the changes are unrestricted and things can keep changing again and again. The possibilities are endless and there is a lot more opportunity to visualise all different ideas on to this sculpture.

“Sober Industries and Studio Rewind took the Tiger mapping project to another level. For the ‘Rotterdamse Museumnacht2011’ we build 2 large sculptures. Both sculptures were projected with mapped visuals. New in this project was the interactive part.”
